The Youth Mental Health Project, Pediatric Associates, and iHeartMedia Announce Partnership to Help Parents and Families Across the Country

The Youth Mental Health ProjectTM is poised to expand its mental health support programs to parents and caregivers in Florida and across the country.

Silver Spring, Maryland – May 1, 2022. The Youth Mental Health Project (YMHP), Florida-based Pediatric Associates, and iHeartMedia are pleased to announce that they have entered a strategic partnership, combining iHeartMedia’s national multi-platform media footprint, Pediatric Associates’ best-in-class pediatric care, and YMHP’s evidence-based programs to equip parents and caregivers of children, teens, and young adults with the support and information they need to understand and care for the mental health of their children.

With the increasing rates of mental health challenges among the nation’s youth, communities have begun to acknowledge this crisis and take action. Due to the isolation and fear young people experienced in recent years, there is also a recognition that parents and caregivers must be able to access trusted information and tools to help their children maintain their mental health or guide them through a mental health emergency.

“We are thrilled to partner with Pediatric Associates and iHeartMedia,” said Valerie Barton, Executive Director of The Youth Mental Health Project ( “Funding from Pediatric Associates combined with iHeart’s advertising reach and expertise will enable more parents and caregivers to become aware of the support groups and informational resources we offer on our website – at a time when there is this tremendous need to ensure that our kids’ mental health is cared for.”

“At Pediatric Associates, we work closely with the parents, grandparents and caregivers of our patients to give them the tools to keep the children healthy and safe at home,” said Brian Jackson, Chief Executive Officer of Pediatric Associates. “We feel incredibly connected to The Youth Mental Health Project’s mission of providing the same support, but in the mental health space. Especially at a time when so many children and teenagers are struggling in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“We’re proud to stand with Pediatric Associates and The Youth Mental Health Project to support parents, guardians, and adult caregivers who are concerned about their children’s struggles with mental health,” said Hartley Adkins, President of Markets Group for iHeartMedia. “Unfortunately, many caregivers may feel powerless when confronted with the reality of youth mental health conditions, and iHeart is committed to using our platforms to make a difference in this space.”
